Coca Cola Championship club Queens Park Rangers were close to acquiring Clint Dempsey on loan but the deal was shelved due to the glut of injuries at Fulham, according to VitalFootball.co.uk. The Web site says the deal “may well be resurrected at a later date.”
U.S. striker Eddie Johnston is close to a move to Cardiff City, according to Goal.com. The move will be a loan deal for one year, according to Wales Online. The report says Bocanegra will replace Djimi Traoré and will play in the center of the field or on the flanks.
