U.S. national team player and former New England Revolution star Clint Dempsey is open to a transfer out of Fulham if he does not get a starting spot soon, according to U.K. reports.

Coca Cola Championship club Queens Park Rangers were close to acquiring Clint Dempsey on loan but the deal was shelved due to the glut of injuries at Fulham, according to VitalFootball.co.uk. The Web site says the deal “may well be resurrected at a later date.”
